Squirrels are young people usually aged between four and six years old.

They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Young people can join Squirrels on their 4th birthday. They can move to the next Section, Beaver Scouts, between six and six and a half.

Easily recognised by their distinctive red sweatshirts, Squirrel Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They usually meet together once a week in a Squirrel Drey
