1st Midsomer Norton Scout Group

We hope everyone is staying safe and coping with the challenges of the day to day and the additional pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic. Our Scout Group is currently providing a programme of activities for all its members in accordance with national guidelines, these are either via online ‘virtual’ meetings or socially distanced face to face meetings (outdoors and indoors) when and wherever permitted.

We are a large and active Scout Group, run by adult volunteers and supporters providing activities for young people at our; 2x Beaver ‘Colonies’, 2x Cub ‘Packs’, 2 x Scout ‘Troops’, we are also home for our eldest youth section – Saxons Explorer Scout Unit.

Based in the centre of the friendly and historic town of Midsomer Norton, were conveniently situated about 15 to 20 minutes drive from the beautiful cities of Bath and Wells. We have easy access on foot, by bike or public transport to surrounding valleys and rural areas plus the wonders of the Mendip Hills. Our own mini campsite is located near Norton St Phillip, a place cherished by all.

With access to opportunities for wonderful rural adventures both above and below ground on our ‘doorstep’ we normally provide activities from our own hall on Radstock Road which has off road parking, kitchen, meeting rooms, stores and facilities to suit all.

We always welcome new membership enquiries, from young people or adults , please see our enquiry page via. ‘Contact us’ tab.
